What is it?
The thigh lift is a surgical technique that improves the contour of the thighs by reducing their volume through fat liposuction and addressing flaccidity by removing excess skin.
This surgical procedure is commonly performed after significant weight loss, as it can have a substantial impact on self-esteem.
What shape of scars are used?
To ensure the scar is inconspicuous, the excision of excess skin is most often performed on the inner surface of the thighs, referred to as a vertical thigh lift. In specific situations, it may be done on the inguinal region, known as a horizontal lifting.
When is it indicated?
A thigh lift is indicated in severe cases of skin laxity and excess skin on the thighs, where liposuction alone does not achieve a satisfactory result.
What types of technology are used?
During the thigh lift, we utilize the MicroareR, a vibroliposuction system that allows for liposuction of a greater volume of fat within the same time interval and with enhanced safety. If indicated, we may incorporate additional technologies such as VaserR, an ultrasound system that improves tissue retraction and reduces the risk of irregularities, as well as BodytiteR and/or Argon PlasmaR, which are other devices that enhance skin retraction and skin quality.
Can it be combined with other surgeries?
This surgery is often performed in combination with Circumferential Lipoabdominoplasty.
